Life has been CRAZY awesome lately (see last post) and to add to the OMG-IM-SO-EXCITED-ABOUT-LIFE hype, I was featured on Style Me Pretty today! Ahhhh! Favorite website ever sharing my favorite space, yep I love it. Okay, now back to the point of this post…
It’s been a few weeks coming, but today I’m sharing some of the photos from my trip to San Francisco in May! To be totally honest, I’m more of a photo-taker than a writer, and I took over 700 photos during my time in San Fran! I’m going to save y’all the torture of scrolling through 150 pictures of only succulents and share my top-favorites in a couple travel posts! (Warning: “top favorites” = still a lot of photos = you’ve been warned)
We stayed in an adorable little townhouse in the Richmond district that was walking distance from the beach, Golden Gate Park, and ALL THE DELICIOUS ASIAN FOOD. The first day we walked 10 miles, and the second day we walked 8… clearly my family is either insane or fit. Or we just like taking our time and seeing all of the little things you would miss while on a bus!
After dropping our bags at the townhouse, my mom, sis, and I explored around our neighborhood. We walked to China Beach and had ‘a moment’ putting our feet in the freezing cold Pacific Ocean for the first time! Later that evening my aunt and cousins arrived, and the girls trip was officially underway!
Our first full day in San Fran was Mothers Day and we started the day back at the beach (mainly since it was so close) and then went on an awesome 6 mile hike along the coast!
In case you hadn’t noticed yet, during the trip I developed an unhealthy obsession with taking photos of ALL. THE. PLANTS. You see, us Southern gals are used to pine trees, azalea bushes, and spanish moss. All varying shades of green. San Francisco opened my eyes to a entirely new climate (it almost never gets below freezing, or above 80) where plants thrive and grow in every color, shape, and size. And holy heck I loved it!
Yep, San Fran was gorgeous! Look out for post number two, coming soon!
