We’re officially over halfway there, y’all!
Last week we had our second trimester group visit at Baby + Co. Once a trimester, after your appointment with the nurse, you meet with a small group of other couples about as far along in their pregnancy. As a group, the nurse will give everyone an update on things to expect, things to watch out for, and things to look forward to. It was so much fun chatting with the other mommas-to-be (we were all first timers) about baby kicks, symptoms, and things we’re excited for. Having these group visits is one of my favorite things that Baby + Co offers as part of the prenatal care plan. They really look after your emotional health too!
Besides a nasty 2 day cold, I have been feeling AWESOME. My nausea has (mostly) left the building and I’m just occasionally achy in my back/hips as things stretch. I’ve finally added back in a walking/stretching/strength training routine and it feels so good to be doing something great for both myself and baby.
Not feeling like I have a 4-month hangover anymore has definitely left me pretty joyful. Not feeling anxious or scared about labor… there’s still a few months for that ;)
During an impromptu trip to IKEA, David and I decided to pick up one of the Hemnes 8 draw dressers in White Stain. It’s the perfect height to serve as a changing table and has so. much. storage. Also last week, our nursery light fixture arrived and it’s even more gorgeous in person!
This week I noticed that I can see baby’s kicks when I’m laying still! It’s SO surreal!
The weather is giving us a taste of spring and I am SO ready for it. I bought my first pair of maternity jeans this weekend and I’m looking forward to being able to wear dresses and shorts as my belly grows – leggings every day is getting old!
